Pastor Donnell Peterson

Pastor Donnell Peterson is a native of Sumter, SC and a former resident of Atlanta, GA. He accepted his call to ministry in December 1994 and was ordained at Shady Oak Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina. Upon relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina, Pastor Peterson became affiliated with Mt. Calvary Holy Churches of America Inc. in Concord, North Carolina, where he received intensive ministerial training and development. He also received in-depth leadership and ministry training at New Covenant Christian Ministries in Atlanta (Lithonia), Georgia, where he was a member. 

Pastor Peterson has ministered at numerous conferences, revivals, and worship services throughout the United States and the Caribbean (Trinidad and Barbados). His passion and desire to proclaim God’s Word in a more excellent way has compelled him to meet the needs of mankind through the Word of God with simplicity, humor, revelation and profoundness. 

Pastor Donnell Peterson is the pastor of Good Aim Missionary Baptist Church located in Elgin, South Carolina and is also the founder and CEO of Donnell Peterson Ministries Inc. 

 

His former Pastoral leaderships and appointments includes: Senior Pastor of City of Praise Church in Columbia, SC, Senior Pastor of Calvary Harvest Church in Charlotte, North Carolina; Mt. Calvary Holy Church-Greensboro, North Carolina and Grace Restoration Worship Center of Atlanta, GA. He’s also served as the Director of Worship Arts Ministry and Associate Minister at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Columbia, South Carolina. 

Pastor Peterson also successfully accomplished the position of Executive Administrator for Explosion Ministries Fellowship Association of Churches; Executive Pastor at Bread of Life Christian Church and the Georgia State Jurisdictional Overseer for Mount Calvary Holy Churches of America, Inc. He is honored to have been a part of the National Day of Prayer Proclamation of 2012 by President Barak Obama in Washington, D.C. 

Pastor Peterson is a prophetic, anointed psalmist, skilled vocalist, music administrator, and music consultant who has served and performed in various capacities throughout his music career. His fervent love for the Father is paramount as his life is driven by the predestined purpose of building the Kingdom of God in this present age. 

He began his singing career as a child and has been featured in concerts with acclaimed artists such as: Shirley Caesar, the late Rev. James Cleveland, The Clark Sisters, Richard Odom of A.L. Jinwright Mass Choir, and David Allen. He has also performed as a background vocalist for the late Thomas Whitfield, Yolanda Adams, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Pastor Daryl Coley, Shana Wilson, Bishop Paul Morton, most recently Minister Byron Cage and Grammy Award winning Gospel Artist Fred Hammond. 

He is the founder of several choirs and music organizations, namely: New Testament Chorale (Atlanta, GA), Malachi Chorale (Greenville, SC), Faith Music Ministries (Atlanta, GA), MusiConcepts (Atlanta, GA), and Rhema Music Group of Greensboro, NC. 

Having received his formal education from South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina in the area of Music Education, Music Theory, Vocal Performance and Choral Directing; prepared and increased his expertise to enhance the Kingdom of God in the Ministry of Music. He also pursued Biblical Studies at Carolina Evangelical Institute, High Point, North Carolina; Pastoral Management and Christian Leadership studies at Liberty University of Lynchburg, Virginia. 

Pastor Peterson is married to Audeiss Benet Peterson. God has blessed them with three children, Whitney, Kyle, & Kelsey; a granddaughter, Cadence and a grandson Knowledge Peterson. 

His music training and choral directing is enhanced with accounting, marketing sales, and theology, making for a well-rounded Pastor, musician and savvy businessman.
